50,000 MUSLIMS FROM POOR HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM DUBAI CHARITY ASSOCIATION TO BEGIN 2022 RAMADAN FASTING.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Lunar Calender and it is one of the sacred month in which fasting was instituted as one of the Pillars of Islam ,as a way for Believers to show their gratitude to Allah and reflect on the teachings of the Quran and its importance. It is the believe of Muslims that Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed in the month of Ramadan. Fasting in the month of Ramadan is mandatory to every Muslim who attained the age of puberty and is in good health.
 Exemptions are made for the elderly or those in poor health along with women who are in the menstrual cycle, pregnant or nursing baby. The holy month is a time for millions of Muslims all around the world to refresh and strengthen their faith through severe fasting , fervent prayers , pensive meditation, persistent Quran recitations and charity acts .

 As Muslims in Ghana joins the rest of Muslims across the globe to undertake a month long Ramadan fasting , An International non governmental organization Dubai Charity Association through its local partners , Ansar Al khairiya organization in Kumasi have supported 50,000 Muslims from poor homes , some of whom are ophans, aged , children and other people who would have found it very difficult to look for food for the pre dawn and Iftar meals for the fasting . The gesture by organization was aimed at easing the burden of the needy Muslims as they joined the month long fasting journey .Some of the items donated were 25kg rice bag, cooking oil , sugar ,and Evaporated milk,




 The Public relations officer of the Ansar Al Khairiya organization, Mohammed Bun Bida explained the rational behind the gesture by Dubai Charity Association and appealed to all Muslims to use the Ramadan period to pray for peace in the country and the rest of the world. According to him the organization work in the area of food security , Ophan care , health care, mosque and well construction, education and sustainable livelihood empowerment and vocational training .



The director of Ansar Al Khairiya organization in Ghana , Ibrahim Abdul Karim, who spoke in Arabic , expressed his gratitude to the financiers , Dubai Charity Association for their kind gesture in helping to ease the burden of poor and vulnerable Muslims in this Ramadan period. 




Some of the Beneficiaries who spoke with metro news could not hide their Joy , adding that the gesture would go along way to Support them and their family for the pre dawn meal and the breaking of the fast.

TURN KUMASI ZOO TO TRANSPORT YARD The 2nd Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP),  Richard  Asante,  has reiterated the need for the Kumasi Zoological Garden to be relocated to give a facelift to Kumasi. According to him, the current  location could be used as transport yard since no provision was made under the Kejetia project. Speaking to the media after the inauguration of the Suame Municipal Assembly (SMA) yesterday,  Mr Asante said to restore the past glory of Kumasi,  authorities should put in place measures to bring down vehicular traffic within the city. He disclosed that due to unavailability of parking places,  both private and commercial drivers park their vehicles at unauthorized places which stiffen traffic in the city.
