*Mpasatia SHS: Student quits school after bursar rapes her*

A second year General Arts student at the Mpasatia Senior High School in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti region has been forced to pack out from the school after the school's bursar raped her.

Sources say this is not the first time that the bursar,  Alexander Sarpong, popularly known as 'Action' has been caught in amorous affairs with some female students in the school.

Our checks indicate authorities at the school have on countless occasions shielded 'Action' from disciplinary sanctions, thereby making him fearless in his heinous sexcapades.

A female  student who spoke with this reporter on conditions of strict anonymity said "he tried to forcibly have sex with me when I went to his office to take my clearance forms" and has since been "making sexual advances at me, bragging he has had his way with most of my friends and that he will do everything possible to get at me too".

The fate of the latest student to have suffered this ordeal, the 16 year old girl of class 2 Arts B (name withheld) hangs in the balance as she has refused to go back to the school for fear of being ridiculed by fellow students.

The bursar,  Alexander Sarpong,  is still at his post and has refused to cooperate with investigations into the matter,  our checks at the District Police Command has indicated.

Headmistress of the school,  who is affectionately called "Darling Mama" refused to give any details to this story when news men visited her office, but however confirmed 'Action' has indeed raped a student and that the matter has been referred to the Ghana Education Service.

Parents of the students are therefore calling on authorities to expedite processes to bring the bursar to book or prepare to face them in court.

This matter comes barely a month after some students at the Ejisuman Senior High School lamented their ordeal of sexual harassment at the hands of some tutors of the school.

Rumours are rife among the staff of Mpasatia SHS to the effect that,  the said bursar is 'a favorite' of the headmistress, the reason she has refused to discipline him or even cause his arrest in the midst of numerous cases of sexual harassment of female students in which he has been fingered.

The bursar, Alexander Sarpong is married with a child.

Please find attached a photograph of the bursar.

TURN KUMASI ZOO TO TRANSPORT YARD The 2nd Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP),  Richard  Asante,  has reiterated the need for the Kumasi Zoological Garden to be relocated to give a facelift to Kumasi. According to him, the current  location could be used as transport yard since no provision was made under the Kejetia project. Speaking to the media after the inauguration of the Suame Municipal Assembly (SMA) yesterday,  Mr Asante said to restore the past glory of Kumasi,  authorities should put in place measures to bring down vehicular traffic within the city. He disclosed that due to unavailability of parking places,  both private and commercial drivers park their vehicles at unauthorized places which stiffen traffic in the city. According to him,  when parking places are provided it will motivate the police to enforce the road traffic regulations to ensure discipline on the roads.
