The country Director of DKT International, Mr. Mario Alvarez has reiterated their commitment in reducing maternal mortality rate in the country.
The organization over the years has organized training workshops for key players on Adverse Drug Reaction Report.
Mr. Mario Alverez spoke in an interview withGhanaiandemocrat.com on the sidelines of this year’s ADR workshop held in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi and indicated that the training was to ensure public safety.
According to the DKT boss, his outfit would want to increase safety of prevalence contraceptive use by creating more awareness in the country.
He said the company is investing heavily in the area of Adverse Drug Reporting because its client’s safety has been one of their top priorities.
He revealed that Ghana has recorded highest prevalence rate of 26% of HIV/Aids infections in the sub-region.
He indicated that 26% out 100% Ghanaian women use contraceptive which to him the country has a long way to go in educating the masses on the use of contraceptives.
Mr. Mario Alverez said contraceptive use over the years has proven to be the safest and surest way of family planning methods and urged public to take their family planning methods seriously.
DKT International, a leading producer of contraceptive drugs has begun a workshop to sensitize and educate pharmacists, the chemical shops, and health professionals on how to report Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR).
The workshop was aimed at furnishing the participant on how to report appropriately on ADR and any other related reaction for prompt responses.

TURN KUMASI ZOO TO TRANSPORT YARD The 2nd Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP),  Richard  Asante,  has reiterated the need for the Kumasi Zoological Garden to be relocated to give a facelift to Kumasi. According to him, the current  location could be used as transport yard since no provision was made under the Kejetia project.
